About We. Us.

Welcome to We. Us. Health and Wellness Foundation, where support meets belonging.

Who We Are

Bridging the gap between people and the support they need

We are a community-focused nonprofit dedicated to promoting the mental, emotional and social well-being of individuals and families.

Life's challenges can sometimes feel overwhelming. Someone may be dealing with emotional distress, family difficulties, relationship stress, a major life transition or barriers to community services. In those moments, finding the right support can make a meaningful difference.

Through wellness initiatives, advocacy, resource navigation, education and community partnerships, we help individuals and families find the right resources, strengthen their support systems and face challenges with greater confidence.

Meaningful support starts with listening

Meaningful support isn't always about having every answer. Sometimes it begins with listening, understanding and helping someone identify the next step.

We are committed to creating welcoming spaces, strengthening community connections and helping people find pathways toward greater well-being.

Everyone deserves support. Everyone deserves belonging. Together, we can find a way forward.
Why We Exist

Mission, Vision & Purpose

Our Mission

To promote the mental, emotional and social well-being of individuals and families by providing accessible wellness support, advocacy, education, resource navigation and meaningful connections to community services. We are committed to reducing barriers, strengthening resilience and helping people face life's challenges with dignity, confidence and hope.

Our Vision

Inclusive, compassionate and connected communities where every individual and family has equitable access to the support, resources and opportunities they need for well-being, stability and a meaningful sense of belonging. We picture a future where seeking help is met with understanding, not judgment, and where no one feels alone.

Our Purpose

To strengthen the well-being of individuals, families and communities by addressing barriers to mental, emotional and social wellness. We bridge gaps between people and the services they need through guidance, advocacy, education, resource navigation and connections to community supports.

Our Philosophy

What "We. Us." means

Our name reflects the values at the heart of our organization.

We

Community, compassion, collaboration and our shared responsibility to care for one another. Individuals and families thrive when they are surrounded by meaningful relationships and supportive communities.

Us

Inclusion, connection and belonging. People going through hardship are not separate from our communities. They are our neighbours, friends, families, colleagues and fellow community members.

No one should be defined by their circumstances or treated as an outsider.

Every individual deserves to feel valued, supported and connected, whatever challenges they face. We do not see people as problems to be solved. We see people with unique experiences, strengths and goals, who can move forward when they have the right support.

Vulnerability is not a permanent identity. People may need extra support at different stages of life. At We. Us., the need for support is what matters, not the circumstances that brought someone to our door.

There is no "them."
There is only We. Us.

Our Core Values

What guides our work

Compassion

We approach every person with empathy, kindness and patience. We know that asking for help can take courage, so we listen closely and respond without judgment.

Dignity

Every person has inherent worth. We honour each person's experiences, identity and choices, and we respect personal autonomy and confidentiality.

Inclusion

We create welcoming spaces where people of every background, culture, identity and ability feel respected, valued and free to seek support without fear.

Equity

People face unequal barriers to support. We work to address those barriers through responsive services, advocacy, education and partnerships.

Empowerment

We work alongside people to understand their options, make informed decisions and build confidence, self-advocacy and resilience.

Accessibility

Support should be approachable and easy to understand. We reduce practical, informational, cultural and systemic barriers to getting help.

Cultural Responsiveness

Culture, language, beliefs and lived experience shape how people understand wellness. We approach these differences with humility, curiosity and respect.

Integrity

We work ethically, responsibly and transparently. We honour the trust people place in us through accountability, confidentiality and accurate, dependable support.

Collaboration

Lasting support takes collective effort. We value partnerships that strengthen coordination, expand access and build stronger networks of care.

Hope

Difficult circumstances do not define a person's future. We nurture hope by recognizing strengths, celebrating progress and finding real possibilities for change.

Our Founding Philosophy

Built on a simple belief

We. Us. Health and Wellness Foundation was founded on a simple belief: no one should have to navigate life's challenges alone.

The Foundation grew from a recognition that many people struggle quietly, unsure where to turn or how to reach the services that could help. We. Us. was created to be that place to begin, with compassion, advocacy and community connection.

Today the Foundation is registered provincially and federally, and it continues to build programs and partnerships that respond to the needs of the communities it serves.

Our Commitment to the Community

People deserve more than information alone.
They deserve to feel heard, respected and connected.

We may not have every answer or provide every service directly. But we will always meet you with compassion, listen without judgment and help you find meaningful pathways to the support you need.

Because no one should feel invisible when seeking help.
No one should feel excluded from opportunities for support.
And no one should have to navigate life's challenges alone.

You don't have to figure it out alone.

Whether you know exactly what you need or only that something needs to change, reach out. Together, we'll find the next step.
